How to check if the user is using the action in rails

I have a method which is called when the user click on a link.

The method first delete a record with :id equal to the value of the link and then reloads the page.

def remove_user_subscription(user_id)

@subscription = Subscription.where(user_id: user_id).find

@subscription.destroy

redirect_to action: :index

end

There is a method that can redirect to the index action when the user is not logged in. However, that method doesn't take in user_id. How can I check the action?
